Isn’t it crazy how songs can inspire our wanderlust and take us back to past trips? I’ll be listening to these in the next couple of days – I think this is the first time I’ve ever listened to Hindi songs! Thanks for sharing this list!
Enjoyed reading this. Havent heard some of the new songs on the list but most of these are my favorites too. I love plugging on to Kishor Kuma’s melodies on any road trip
Oh I love your suggestions Richa! My favourite is definitely Ilahi (because Ranbir <3 lol). Oh fun fact: Sanam was actually my classmate back in Kirori Mal College, DU. He was in our Music society. Girls were crazy about him back then too; like they would literally do his assignments for him haha. Don't know now but he was a sweet fellow!
Songs definitely bring back so many memories of places and people and past trips. Thanks for a new soundtrack to explore here; I was pleased to recognise one of your choices, maybe because we live in a very Bollywood-loving area. Plenty more to check out now!
Some of these suggestions are great.I can imagine driving in a soft top, roof down, wind in my hair and these blasting through the speakers. One or two might even become the song of the road trip. Great ideas for road trip songs.
Awesome collections, scrolling through the list made me feel like I am travelling. ARR tracks are the best while travelling.
I’m always looking for new music to try so very much enjoyed this post! Going to try a few of these out on a road trip next week 🙂
I can’t really comment too much on Hindi music but I am a Bollywood fan and love Bangara. You just have to get up and get moving to the beat. I will check these out next time I am planning a road trip.
Wow, such a detailed post featuring all the beautiful hindi melodious songs.
Khaabon ke parinday is on my travel songs list too. Cool list, some of them are new to me, going to listen to them. 🙂
Don’t understand any of this but they are so catchy! And if it’s about travel, then the lyrics must be amazing.
This is a really cool post idea – especially with the songs not being in my native language. I don’t understand them but they sound cool!
wonderful . In this era of just listening to music sometime lyrics give us the pleasure
We always connect a trip with the songs our boys listened to during that trip. We’ve never shared Bollywood music with them- I’m going to do that today!!
Thanks for sharing! I have started listening to books rather than music when I travel, but this make me want to immerse myself in what country’s music that I visit. Great suggestions!
Thanks for the suggestions. I just listened to the Patakha Guddi’ from the movie “Highway” song. Nice beat. Can definitely picture my friends and I bumping to that on a road trip 🙂
Some great suggestions on this list. I don’t think I’ve ever really listened to hindi music before, but this is a great way to start 🙂
I’ve never experienced Hindi music before so this post has defo given me a good starting point. Thanks for sharing.
No travel for me is complete without listening Bollywood songs and that too on a road trip. And it is also great that in many Bollywood songs, travel has been given lot of importance while showing the whole story sometimes during traveling. Some of my favorites of Khawon ke Parindey as you listed, Safar mein dhoop toh hogi by Chitra/Jagjit Singh, Yoonhi kat jayegaa safar, Chalte Chalte kabhi Alvida naa kehna and many songs related to word Safar. Thanks for sharing great list and now adding these ones to my playlist.
Although these are not so familiar songs I am actually a fan of the songs of the Bollywood film, “Three Idiots”.
I don’t understand Hindi but I stayed in India for a year and heard most of these. You sure did a great job of crafting this list.
great collection of songs by you. thank you.
