I love traveling and often travel by train within India. There is something romantic about trains and journeys. You get to see a lot of new places, new people and expose yourself to new experiences.
I have often met interesting people on such journeys and had amazing conversations with them.
Trains have inspired many filmmakers in Bollywood in different ways to create a song, dance sequence or scene to be shot in, on or around it. Sometimes they play a part in bringing together the lovers or family members and sometimes they add to the distance between them.
Often trains also become the meeting point for the lovers and also play an important role for the runaway heroine.
There are many songs that have been written with trains or train journeys in mind. And there are also songs that have been shot in such a way that reminds people of trains.
Here is a list of songs that you can watch or listen to if you are a fan of train journeys.
Aao Bachhon Tumhein Dikhayein Jhaanki Hindustan Ki
This song is an old classic from the era of black and white movies that used to be telecast on TV on special days like Independence Day, Children’s Day etc.
I, along with my siblings have watched and listened to this song a lot during the early nineties.
Listening to this song is like a trip down memory lane.
In this song, a teacher takes his students on a trip and during the train journey tells them about various historical places in the country.
